Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is the park everyone pictures when they imagine Africa, and honestly, it still surprises us every time we drive in. Grass runs to the horizon, kopjes rise out of the plains like islands, and somewhere out there a million wildebeest are moving.

We plan Serengeti days around the light and the herds rather than a fixed schedule — early starts for cats on the hunt, a slow picnic lunch under an acacia, then back out as the plains turn gold. Where you sleep depends on the season, so we move you to the part of the park where the action actually is.
