Mafia Island

Mafia is all about the water. Its marine park protects reefs, seagrass beds and the whale sharks that gather in the channel each year.

Between October and March you can swim alongside them — a slow, respectful encounter with the biggest fish in the sea, usually with no other boats in sight.
