Trekking
A tough but rewarding night climb of the Maasai 'Mountain of God', with sunrise over the Rift Valley.
The Maasai call it the Mountain of God, and it is an active volcano with loose ash slopes that make for a genuinely tough night climb. You start around midnight and reach the crater rim for sunrise.
The reward is a view over the Rift Valley, Lake Natron and the flamingo flats far below — and the strange, steaming carbonatite crater at your feet.

A beautiful, varied climb up the 'Whiskey Route' with good acclimatisation and a strong summit success rate.
